Cherished Memories Videos was born out of the idea that no matter who we are, where we live, or how old we may be, our lives are made up of a collection of memories. These memories are reminders of how we came to be who we are in life at any given moment.
Our memories that are stored inside our hearts and minds are one of the very few things that no one can take from us. Granted, many of us have memories we'd probably rather forget, but we want to help you focus on the good ones, the BEST ones! And what better way to do that than to start digging through all those old pictures?!
Sadly, our pictures usually do not get the treatment they deserve. They are one of the biggest keys to keeping all those wonderful moments in life fresh and alive, yet think about where those pictures are. Are yours in boxes in some closet, hardly ever thought about? Or in drawers all around the house? Maybe you've even gone as far as to put a few of them into albums. When was the last time you pulled those albums out, blew the dust off, and actually sat down and enjoyed them or maybe shared them with someone?
And what about those priceless pictures of our grandparents and great-grandparents raising all those babies? You know which ones I'm talking about. They're usually one of two colors, yellow or black & white, maybe a combination of both! Wouldn't you love to be able to put them all together and preserve them in a way for the whole family to enjoy?
Imagine sitting down with your family, pulling your personalized DVD case off the shelf, and watching a movie of all your favorite memories together, memories set to a background of music interspersed with words or phrases that cause you to remember things you might have otherwise forgotten. Without a doubt there will be laughs, a lot of "awwww"'s and "hey, remember that?!"'s, and quite possibly a few tears.
Out of a desire to preserve our own precious memories in a much more enjoyable and accessible way we began the journey of learning how to put them to video (and to make them of professional quality), purchasing the necessary equipment and software, and ultimately producing a DVD collection we were more than proud of. Naturally, we showed these videos to all our friends and family and quickly realized how much everyone enjoyed watching them and wanted us to do the same for them. Thus, Remembrance Videos was born.
It is truly our heart's desire to produce a video that will touch the owner in such a real and emotional way that it will instantly become one of their most treasured possessions. We pray daily that what we do will be not only a blessing to us but more importantly to those we are making the videos for.
